KIER ISOGLYPH FAQ

Q: Why do I need to Authorize the Kier Isoglyph™ Digital Feature Set (DFS) on the Nimeko™ Platform?

A: The Bluetooth electronics that accompany the Kier Isoglyph additionally serves as a key that allows for the limited time authorization to obtain the Kier Isoglyph Digital Feature Set.

Q: Why is there a separate “Kier Isoglyph” app availble?

The Kier Isoglyph standalone app only controls the LED functionality aspect of the physical work. The Kier Isoglyph Digital Feature Set through the Nimeko platform is available for a limited time only.

Q: Why is the battery compartment so crowded?

A: The Battery Compartment is low profile due to thin design of Kier’s Isoglyph core, this creates a tight space for the batteries.

Q: How do I remove & replace the batteries?

A: The battery holder is low profile and therefore the batteries may require the use of the provided flat head tool to pry each battery out from the battery holder.

Q: What should I do If the App (DFS) is not connecting to the art piece/collectible/device?

A: 1. Relaunch the Application and try again.

2. If the relaunching of the application does not resolve the issue, install new batteries.

3. Reseat the batteries located on the Bluetooth hardware located in your art piece/collectible.

4. Make sure that only one smartphone device is connected at a time. This means that there cannot be 2 or more devices simultaneously connected to the Bluetooth device.

Q: What types of batteries should be used?

It’s recommended to use Energizer or Duracell batteries AAA

Q: When installing all four AAA batteries the LED blink 3 times, is that okay?

The LED that blink three times when first installing the four AAA batteries indicate that the electronics are functioning correctly.

Q: Do I need to use or tighten the Bluetooth LED electronics to the battery panel lid?

A: The use of the screws provided to tighten the LED electronic board to the battery panel lid is purely optional. However, do not over tighten any of the screws associated with the electronics and the battery compartment enclosure. Over-tightening might cause permanent damage to the board.

Q: How many mobile devices can be connected to Kier Isoglyph Artwork?

A: Only one owner/user/mobile device at a time can connect into the electronics to control Kier’s lighting settings (moods). If multiple owners/user/mobiles devices try to connect in simultaneously the board might require power cycling. This may be done by removing and reseating one battery.

Q: Why is there a red notification on my mobile device notifying me that device cannot connect to the artwork Bluetooth electronics?

A: If you are getting a red notification regarding not being able to connect to the board please reseat the battery in the Isoglyph artwork electronic components and relaunch the Nimeko application. If this still does not work power cycle your mobile device and repeat steps mentioned above.

Q: Is it possible to buy additional boards or replacement parts?

A: There are no replacement parts for the Kier Isoglyph piece.

Q: At what percentage are the LED at when first turned on?

A: The lighting system will always start at 50% brightness, you may adjust the intensity through the increase/decrease buttons provided within the Nimeko application in the Bluetooth control section of the Kier Isoglyph Digital Feature Set (DFS).

Q: How long do the batteries last?

A: The Batteries have been tested to last 45 days in standby. If all the LED are turned on, the power will last approximately 22 hours.
